The Redway CSD has a few other projects that will be starting up soon. One of these projects is a Capital Improvements Project on West Coast Road. We will be replacing a 1-1/4” mainline with a 6” Mainline. This will include 4 new Hydrants, new laterals to each house, and new electronic meters. This is a much-needed update, the size of the existing water Main is inadequate for supply volume to the houses and is not adequate for fire flow as well. The District will continue with the fire hydrant replacement through the winter. There are two Hydrant jobs scheduled for Briceland Road as of right and we have a time frame of 4 months for these hydrant jobs.

The other large project that we have going on is through the Small Community Drought Relief Program and is called the Redway Emergency Water Storage and Supply Project. In the latest Quarterly Progress Report 4 June 1, 2024 – August 31, 2024. Included in this Grant is the Construction of a new Water Storage Tank up on Rusk Lane here in Redway. 500 Automated water meters, and the replacement of the filter media at the Surface Water Treatment Plant. As of right now the planned completion date for Task 3 Construction is 1/2/2026. Actual completion date is TBD. Beyond these projects the staff will continue with its efforts in locating the inflow, and infiltration during the winter rains, into our sanitary sewer system that eventually make its way out to the Wastewater plant.
